Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 6 June 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may and may not do with Arcalix. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uploads or distributes content through the Service.
1. Scope
Because Arcalix stores and distributes files on your behalf, the content you upload and the way you use the network affect us, our infrastructure providers and other users. You are responsible for all content you upload and for everything done through your account.
2. Prohibited content & conduct
You must not use the Service to store, distribute, link to, or facilitate any of the following:
- content that is illegal, or that infringes the intellectual-property, privacy or other rights of any person;
- malware, ransomware, spyware, or code designed to disrupt, damage or gain unauthorised access to systems or data;
- pirated software, cracks, or material that circumvents technical protection measures;
- content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that exploits or endangers minors;
- fraudulent, deceptive or unlawful schemes, or anything that breaches sanctions or export-control laws;
- anyone else's content that you are not authorised to distribute.
3. Malware & integrity
The Service is intended for distributing legitimate game patches and related files. You must not knowingly distribute malicious binaries or tamper with files so that they harm end users. We may scan, fingerprint or remove content we reasonably believe to be malicious or unsafe.
4. Fair use & security
You must not:
- attempt to circumvent Plan limits, download-speed controls, quotas or other technical restrictions;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent its security or authentication;
- use the Service in a way that places an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure or the CDN, or that disrupts other users;
- resell or provide the Service to third parties except as permitted by your Plan, or share access credentials beyond your authorised team.
5. Copyright & takedowns
We respect intellectual-property rights and expect you to do the same. If you believe content distributed through Arcalix infringes your rights, send a notice to support@arcalix.uk including: your contact details; identification of the work; the URL or location of the infringing material; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised; and a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act.
We will review valid notices and may remove or disable access to the content, and notify the account holder, who may respond. We may suspend repeat infringers.
6. Enforcement
If we believe you have breached this policy, we may — depending on severity and with notice where practicable — throttle or suspend distribution, remove content from the CDN, suspend or terminate your account, and/or report the matter to the relevant authorities. We may act immediately where there is a risk to the Service, to others, or of legal liability.
7. Reporting abuse
To report content or activity that breaches this policy, email support@arcalix.uk with as much detail as possible. We take reports seriously and investigate them.
